Caitlin Beukema

MSW, RSW

When I became a mother, I experienced first-hand the challenges and joys of parenthood. This sparked a deep desire in me to explore the various facets affecting the mental health of new parents; from systemic and cultural factors to relationships and identity. I am passionate about supporting others who may be overwhelmed with caring for tiny humans and navigating this transition.

My approach will help you discover your innate strengths and capabilities, as well as a balance that is unique to your family.

I have been supporting individuals and families with their mental health for over 15 years. I received my Masters of Social Work from McGill University and my Bachelors of Music Therapy from Wilfrid Laurier University. I have additional training and expertise in loss/grief, perinatal/maternal mental health, infertility, anxiety, depression, and work/life balance. My perspective is rooted in feminist, anti-oppression and relational theory. I work from a trauma-informed lens and am a Certified EMDR therapist with EMDRIA.
